New Jersey Cantors Concert Ensemble

The New Jersey Cantors Concert Ensemble is the world’s very first choir of both men and women cantors. Comprised of over twenty hazzanim, the Ensemble is sponsored by the New Jersey Region of the Cantors Assembly and is renowned across the country. Members of the Ensemble include cantors of Conservative, Reform and Reconstructionist synagogues in northern and central New Jersey. The funds we raise at our concerts go toward scholarship assistance for cantorial students at the Jewish Theological Seminary, Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and the Academy for Jewish Religion. We rehearse twice a month, sing in concerts and drive to these events from as far away as 75 miles. None of us accepts any money for rehearsal, performance or travel.
